LANDSCAPING FOR THE CENTRAL HUB

MODULAR SYSTEM FOR MASTERPLAN
The masterplan incorporates a scheme aimed to rejuvenate Stretford's centre through redevelopment projects and designing a central hub for the cycle village. Creating a modular system for commercial and residential zones will implement the cyclical development that can occur within the site for future sustainability.

CIRCULATION
Circulation around the entire site needs to address the various level changes that surround it. Moreover bike lanes and pedestrian paths must be resolved whilst the central hub needs to become the focal point of the cycle village.
Resolving how the main building will fit into its site context is crucial for thresholds and responding to the landscape in the best way possible. Addressing the level changes as well as the canal will be key factors in the design process.

RESOLVING THE FACADE
The facade of the central hub will need to respond to the canal and the rest of the cycle village through the design process and choice of materiality.

PROGRAMME OF SPACES
Designing a specific target market for users will lead to the resolution of numbers of people using and working within the space. Focusing around the cycling, the element of activity can be explored further to develop how different users can respond to the building.
